By all accounts it's overrun by tourists (which it was) but nonetheless it's worthwhile seeing because it's a UNESCO site.(also true). Pretty and quaint but challenging in terms of its "authenticity".
With its gorgeous honey coloured stone buildings, it's hard to believe that the village of francavilla fontana doesn't feature in any of the guidebooks. The ghost-town facade doesn't easily reveal its secrets..
